Putting Excellence back in the Church Remember when you gave your life to God how passionate you were. As a child of God you wanted to work in His kingdom. You were on fire for the work of God and you started of with a bang. You told yourself you going to be the one who is going to make sure the ministry you are being to put in charge of is going to work like bomb. It has been a long time that the so and so ministry been neglected by leader so and so……. and maybe fresh blood is exactly what that particular ministry needs. You prayed to God about your calling because by now you figured out and have confirmation that this is your calling. And this it the way it normally starts of for everyone. At the beginning it goes well and starts of as planned. Everybody looks starry eye at you and from where you stands they look like they simply love you and your ideas. And aren’t those plans that you have for your ministry just wonderful??? On so this goes on for a month or two. Three months later (for some churches even sooner) and suddenly hardly anybody pitch up for the different departmental meetings. If one of those wonderful plans that every starry eyed member agreed on have to be executed; your ministry members all have something more urgent to do and those who does bother to make an appearance are either late, can’t get along with each other or doesn’t like the way you do things etc,etc,etc…..And guess what ?hardly a year into the calling and your ministry is exactly where leader so and so ‘s ministry were before you took over. By now nobody gets along in your ministry and everybody is badmouthing somebody in the church and nobody has control over anybody as well as the different ministries. Even leadership is badmouthing each other because none of the ministries is working the way it should. And everyone is coveting the department that is working effectively, because they sure that ,that leader must be sharing a secret handshake with God and /or his legion of angels. Eventually the house of God becomes a place where we only work with what we got and excellence is being compromise for mediocrity. If you can identify with the above or know that this is exactly what is happening in your church don’t despair, you are not alone. Ministries all over the world, on a daily basis are experiencing exactly what you going through and God has already provided the solution. If the church have the calling and the willingness to work in God’s Kingdom we will give your churchleaders, diagonate, deacons and elders the Leadership training to make God’s house a place that operates on a passion for excellence .
